Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Pastry Helper to join our kitchen team in Qatar. This role involves assisting in the preparation of desserts, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards to ensure high-quality pastry production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dessert Preparation: Assist in the preparation of various desserts, including tasks at the backup, takeaway, line, and dispatch stations.
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area, following food safety procedures and the “Clean as You Go” (CLAYGO) principle.
- Food Safety Procedures: Adhere to food safety procedures, including checking expiry dates and ensuring proper handling of ingredients.
- Temperature Checks: Monitor and check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Stock Management: Order, receive, and stock supplies or retail products as needed.
- Consistency: Follow recipes to maintain consistency in the taste and presentation of desserts.
- Team Profile: Exhibit the SHARP team member profile – Service First, High Energy, Appreciative, Respectful, and Passionate.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in dessert preparation and kitchen hygiene.
- Strong knowledge of food safety procedures.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in dessert quality and presentation.
- Experience in working across various kitchen stations (backup, takeaway, line, dispatch).
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
