Operation Supervisor

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Operation Supervisor to manage and oversee warehouse and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning, shipping, inventory management, and coordinating with freight forwarders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills to manage daily operations and contribute to team success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Understand and manage planning, shipping, warehouse management, and inventory systems.
  • Route Management: Oversee daily routes and schedules for shipments and deliveries.
  • Shipment Tracking: Track the progress of shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Warehouse Operations: Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory needs and stock levels.
  • Inventory Management: Review inventory requirements and maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Performance Monitoring: Consistently exceed weekly standards for load matching and booking freight, including managing available load boards.
  • Coordination: Work with freight forwarders to expedite documentation and ensure timely delivery of international shipments.
  • Reporting: Report shipment balances and cycle counts to the manager.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold company standards, values, and reputation in all interactions with teams, clients, and the public.
  • Documentation: Ensure site records and summaries are properly filed with the Archive team as per company procedures.
  • Team Support: Contribute to and support positive morale within the team, directing and guiding team members effectively.
  • Project Supervision: Supervise and manage all aspects of projects, ensuring they align with relevant documentation and company procedures.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in operations, warehouse management, shipping, and inventory systems.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage daily operations efficiently.
  • Proficiency in tracking and coordinating shipments and managing warehouse inventory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with team members, clients, and freight forwarders.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and uphold company standards in all interactions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
