Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Barista to join our team in Qatar. This role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining the quality and safety standards of our coffee bar, and preparing a variety of specialty coffee drinks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening and Closing Procedures: Handle all tasks related to opening and closing the coffee bar, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately.
- Clean as You Go (CLAYGO): Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at all times by following the CLAYGO principle.
- Quality Control: Follow the S&S recipe manual and ensure all coffee drinks meet quality standards.
- Customer Service: Welcome customers, determine their coffee preferences, and provide knowledgeable recommendations and explanations about the menu.
- Inventory Management: Replenish coffee bean supply, stock brewing equipment, and maintain supplies, pastries, and cookies for the coffee bar.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain coffee equipment, troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and arrange for repairs as needed.
- Safety and Sanitation: Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to S&S standards and sanitation regulations.
- Process Improvement: Study, evaluate, and redesign processes to improve quality results, maintain and enhance the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
- Specialty Coffee Preparation: Prepare specialty coffee using manual brewing, grinding, and espresso-based techniques. Ensure quality control of coffee beans and excel in latte art.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Barista, with expertise in specialty coffee preparation, including manual brewing and espresso-based drinks.
- Proficiency in latte art and quality control of coffee beans.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with customers effectively.
- Experience in managing inventory and maintaining coffee brewing equipment.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
